A Review
It's been awhile since I've posted a review on beer or an alcoholic nectar. Well, I've got a couple of minutes, so I thought I'd hook you up. A beer drinker's wine review.
Tonight's beverage of choice is Blackstone Pinot Noir, and it comes in a bottle that seems to empty rather quickly. 'Course, most folks don't drink wine by the pint glass.
I'll skip the stupid aroma and taste shit, and just tell you this: This is good shit, Maynard.
Buy it, or die...

I wouldn't want to have to drink 3 bottles to figure out which you recommend ... could prove to be a "who gives a shit what I drank I'm too wasted to remember" night!
;-)
Pinot Noir is almost my favorite kind of wine. Supposedly it is the easiest to fuck up so Pinot recommendations are always welcome.

It doesn't sound like T1G really gives a shit about such nuances...
Posted by: Mark at January 22, 2008 09:38 AMGuess we aren't "most folks" then, although my Pinot Noir is New Zealand, Oyster Bay.
And the current whisky is macallan.
Cheers!!

Posted by: Richmond at January 22, 2008 03:28 PMAnna and Em, it was California 2006. Good stuff, indeed.
Mark, actually... you're pretty much right.
Bx19, "Cheers," right back at you!
Tammi, it's not being bossy. It's providing a friendly warning. That's all...
Contagion and Richmond, yes, I drink wine. I have long before I moved out here, so don't be getting all weird on me. :)

Ya' know...I was just about to bring this issue up with you, but since you already did, fuggedaboudit.
Cheers!

I'll bet you had some trouble at first before you realized you couldn't unscrew the cork...
Posted by: Mark at January 22, 2008 09:22 PMBlech. Wine tastes like vinegar...
Posted by: Bou at January 22, 2008 09:39 PMMy buddy T1G using French words like noir and pinot, in the same sentence, no less.
Dear Gott. The end of the world must be near.
Posted by: Jerry at January 22, 2008 10:26 PMHmm... not really a red wine kinda gal. The tannins tend to give me massive migraines so I have to stick to the white stuff. Let me know about the taste, because if it's as good as you say it is then I may brave the headexplodie. I tend to shy away from the dry stuff and once I even sampled a Cabernet that's aftertaste was eerily close to cheese (ew!). If it's refreshing, light, and has just a hint of sweetness, I promise I won't turn it into a wine spritzer or a vat of sangria (mmmm sangria).
Posted by: Barmy Mama at January 22, 2008 11:17 PM... you drinking wine?..... just wait till the boys at Fritz's hear about this..... I guess that photoshop of you needs updating!... maybe adding a wine glass?....
