Outta The Blue

I'm at the shop, so I should be working, but check this shit out.

Just got a phone call. Cousin's lawyer friend can't go to the event he was hoping to go to, so he's giving away his tickets. Giving. Guess where...

Nope, not the Daytona 500, but it is at that raceway!!! We're going to see the Chevy Silverado HD 250 (NASCAR Truck Series), Friday night.

Should be pretty cool.

Oh, and we supposedly get to hang with Dale Jr.

That's kick ass.

I met Jr.'s brother Kerry many moons ago at a local short track when I was still working on race cars. He was cool as the other side of a pillow and down to earth. From the folks I've talked to Jr.'s the same way and has a helluva sense of humor.

Very, very cool! If you're going to be here most of the weekend I hope you make it to the beach too. Have a few beers for me... I'll be home, hiding from the traffic. I work less than a mile from the track and had to haul ass before the end of the Twins today!
