Offer

Well, I'm leaving here to head home in nine days. And I've already gotten a job offer. Only thing... it's doing my old job (which I started to hate), and in San Francisco. Um.... probably not interested. Cost of living nearly doubles, and wages increase by twenty percent, tops. It just doesn't figure.

I will do some checking, but I can almost surely say, it's not for me.

But it's a good start...

Hey, getting an offer is great! San Francisco - maybe not so great. But still, an offer is a good thing!

Damn it Shoe!

Just as I take a big swig of tea, I see your comment.

How the HELL am I gonna explain THIS mess?!?!?!?!

;-)

There ain't enough money in the country to get me to work in or near San Francisco.

Yay! More Schnitzes at Fritz's, perhaps?

SF is pretty, but the social climate? Oy! Worse than the lefty loons here in the PNW! Then again, the drive from here to SF is a LOT shorter than Chicago or Florida ;-)

So is there a reason you keep going right past Gainesville without stopping? I thought you liked us......

:)

Posted by: Carmen at April 5, 2007 05:13 PM

how about LA? It's not quite as crazy as SF. Hell, we live here....

Posted by: caltechgirl at April 5, 2007 06:32 PM

You'd be better off shoveling shit in Newark than working in San Francisco.

Posted by: Jim - PRS at April 6, 2007 05:43 PM

It is good you are wanted.
I think I'd pass on San Fran, however.

You're not allowed to keep your guns there.

Posted by: jimmyb at April 6, 2007 09:47 PM

Hell... they're gonna like you anywhere. Pick a spot... any spot.

Posted by: Jean at April 6, 2007 10:05 PM

I live north of SF. I love SF. I have guns. Nancy Pelosi thinks she is representing all of us in Syria. The cost of living is high, but the scenic beauty here beats SoCal all to hell.

It isn't where you live, it's who you are. Just sayin'.

San Fagcisco...no way man.

Now if you were looking for a new boyfriend, it might be worth it. But if you want to stay footloose and fancy free then give it a pass. Although I must say that the lovely flowing locks you were sporting at Eric's, would go over very well in that area.

*grin*

uh...yeah.

If the job includes anything that includes wearing leather mask, or a ball gag, yeah do not do it.

I knew someone that took a job like that in Frisco once...

The pay might be great, but dude...

Don't call it Frisco...
