More Help
Hey der, Mr. Kringle,
I don't really have much time, but I want to remind you to forget all of those mockers and scoffers. They know not what they do.
Here's another little prompt, if you needed it.
While I'd be perfectly content to be the proud owner of one of these, you and I know that I am far more deserving of this work of art.
Peace out, Fat Guy.
T1G

Posted by: oddybobo at December 11, 2006 09:08 AMI'm just gonna join in on your list - wait, that didn't sound right.
Anyway - AW's DH & I were shoppin' for swords and knives at her house this weekend. Ohhh - there's about 5 or 6 I wouldn't mind if The Big Guy left at my house.....
Ya know, I'm sorta kinda worried about how we all love these weapons so much. What do you think it says about us??????
Posted by: Tammi at December 11, 2006 09:23 AM My little Marlin 1892 spent a lot of years in the trunk of a county cruiser for the occasions where a long gun was needed but the range was possibly too long for the scattergun. Mine is the same cartridge as my service revolver, the .357 Mag. The Marlin is ten times the gun that the Henry is. Luckily I only had to dispatch a couple of injured large critters and a few rabid dogs and skunks.
My .45 long gun is the Navy Arms version of Rossi's clone of the '92 Winchester, in stainless. Again, a better gun than the Henry.
The Marlin is easy to scope, if that matters. I have a Williams Receiver sight on mine and a Marble's Tang Sight on the Winchester clone.
Get either one and have a good engraver embellish it. You'll be way ahead. The Henrys I've seen aren't particularly accurate and the guns are clumsy. Plus the lack of a loading gate is a real problem.
Tammi - it just screams to the world "Do not effing break into my house!!" That's all...
And T1G, the minute I win the lottery they're all yours. :-)
Posted by: Richmond at December 11, 2006 05:19 PMThat Henry is pretty, but dayum, i want that Marlin so bad!
Posted by: imp at December 12, 2006 02:33 PMWhy do you want more firearms? I can't get you to go shooting with me using the ones you have.
Posted by: Contagion at December 12, 2006 06:36 PMIf you're ever through NW Ohiya, you can go shooting your new irons here!
(Or you can just drop by and shoot mine.)
