Accents...
Yeah, there was something similar that came out before, but Sissy found another one... one that I think Bou had a hand in. (She's convinced that I've got an accent, and if you've ever heard me talk, you know that's a crock.) Anyway, here's the results of my "test:"
What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Inland North You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop." | |

I don't have an accent. Now, I gotta go to the gas station and get a quoit of erl.
Posted by: Elisson at November 13, 2006 07:48 PMI am ROFLMAO! They so have you frickin' PEGGED! As I said at Sissy's I did NOT make this test up and I can't help it if you talk funny! LOL!
OK. First. You think you don't have an accent and this test said,"You may think you speak Standard English right out of the dictionary" and I thought, "Oh! He does! He does!"
And then that part about people will ask, "Are you from Wisconsin?" I wanted to add that sometimes I think it sounds Minnesota.
And of course I am teasing as I love the various American accents... even if I don't have one. ;-) (That's what happens when you grow up a military brat. People have asked me if I'm from frickin' England.) I think its cool to figure out where people come from and if you listen close enough, you can almost detect where their ancestory was from... as in which country. Very cool.
Posted by: Bou at November 13, 2006 09:54 PMWhat accent are they talking about?? I have NEVER heard you speak with an accent, so the rest of them must be nuts.
Now excuse me while I go grab a pop.
