Game Three, WS

Crabby asshole version.

White Sox win again... I'm happy, and I'm pissed.

Happy, of course, because that means they're only one game away from being crowned World Champions. But at the same time I'm frustrated. I'm frustrated with the strategy of both teams. The Astros were playing not to lose, and wouldn't take chances. The Sox were playing conservative, also. If you've got the chance to put someone away, do it. (I'd give you some links, but as of right now, there aren't any.)

I'm pissed because Fox Sports, in it's desire to show the drama of the series, seriously screwed up with their lousy camera angles. Trying to show the dismay in the faces of a team counts for shit when a pitch is being thrown. I'd much rather see a pitch, than to look at some "poor" bastard who's looking upset about possibly losing the game.

Again, happy that Sox won, even though I don't sound like it. Screw Fox.... and GO SOX!!!

BTW, in my exalted crabbiness, I forgot to mention the final score... Sox 7, Astros 5. That is all.

What I found humorous about this whole thing is that when I was in Texas, they all swore the Astros were going to win the series in 4 games and destroy the sox. Makes me wish I was down there again this week so I could hear what they are saying now.

I had to settle for watching the computer. When I passed out - umm, I mean fell asleep, the Sox were still down.

WooHoo - thrilled they won.

But I'm not surprised to hear Fox screwed it all up. They aren't real fans. It's all about the drama. Maybe if enough people bitch they'll realize it's all about the GAME.

Well, as the lonely Astros fan here, I'll tell you what we're saying right now. "Damn!" What happened? I think everybody was so excited about going to the world series for the first time ever, they forgot about the fact that we still have to play the best AL team out there. I mean it's one thing to make it to the show and I applaud their effort and winning attitude towards getting to this point, but it ain't over there. You still have to play the games to see who's best. All of the games have been close and I'm proud of the Astros, but the White Sox are just a little better or maybe they just want it more. I don't know. Bottom line is, I say congratulations to Chicago and their beloved Sox. You've earned the accolades and praise. I realize it's not over yet, but being the realist that I am, I think we all know who's gonna win it. Congrats again from a long time Astros fan deep in the heart of Texas.
